Chelsea win their 5th League Title

Chelsea have managed to win their 5th Premier League title thanks to a 1-0 win at home over Crystal Palace. The Blues knew that a win in this London derby would earn them the League Title with three matches to spare, and what is more important, they achieved this in front of their fans at Stamford Bridge. The key moment in the match, at least according to the best football tipster in the world, came when Chelsea’s Belgian magician Eden Hazard got the vital breakthrough just before half time when he earned himself a penalty and then went on to score it. With this victory, Chelsea move to 83 points, and more importantly 16 points ahead of the previous champions Manchester City, and the Blues’ captain couldn’t hide his joy at the final whistle: “Today really was a tough match and we had to put in an extra effort as the nerves were a little shaky, but we managed to win and now we can celebrate. This isn’t the first time, but because we have been a few years without winning it certainly feels really good…over the last few seasons it really hurt to watch the others win, so now we can celebrate.” A football betting expert knows that this title is Mourinho’s third Premier League win and the Blues’ fourth in 11 years, but what is more incredible is that with this victory the Portuguese manager has an incredibly impressive record of one title victory for every thirty four matches. This season wasn’t the easiest for Chelsea and Mourinho, but after an initial 22 match unbeaten streak, the Capital One Cup and now the EPL Title, few can argue with their demonstration of power, even if they were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals against PSG.

A top sports betting expert has now questioned who will be the team to challenge them in the future, City, Arsenal, United or Liverpool? As far as City is concerned, they will probably have to change manager at the end of this season to avoid having another flat season where they never really challenged for any title. This season, only players of the likes of SergioAgüero and David Silva have had any real say in winning games and that is not enough if they really want to challenge Chelsea at the top. Arsenal, who will probably finish deservedly in second place, do seem to be building a competitive team, and certainly one that can challenge for the title next year, but will they manage to stay close enough in the months of March and April, when they have historically lost many a league title? United have been incredibly discontinuous, and one can safely say, rather lucky throughout this season, but they don’t seem to be a team with the right mould to become champions too soon. They have spent an incredible amount of money and never challenged for any title so the question really is, even if they spend more over the summer, will that be for the right players? Liverpool have had a transitional season after losing their star striker Luis Suarez last summer and will have to sign at least one world class player to challenge any time soon, but next season does seem a little too soon. It is true that they have invested in young talent and this often takes time to develop, but a top football tipster still feels they are lacking the killer instinct in many of their players and without this, titles will be hard to come by, especially since captain Steven Gerrard will not be around to dig them out of a hole anymore!
