Jollyallan Heading For Sandown win
Six-year-old Jollyallan looks to land his fourth successive victory in the Betfred Contenders Hurdle at Sandown.
Finishing four and a half-lengths clear of his rivals last time out at Kempton, trainer Harry Fry is hoping for a repeat of the commanding performances that have seen him victorious in the past. Rider AP McCoy needs no introduction having already had a winner at Wincanton this week and, priced at 7/4, Jollyallan offers a good chance of another.
Irish Saints to Shine Down on Paul Nicholls
Trainer Paul Nicholls already has some big name winners under his belt this year and hopes six-year-old Irish Saint will follow in the footsteps of stable mate Saphir Du Rheuwho took the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham last week.
Finishing 2014 off with a 13-length victory over Thomas Crapper at Ascot, he travelled well before jumping into a commanding lead over the second to last fence. Ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies, who’s had a winner for Nicholls already this week, Irish Saint is good value at 11/4.
