Serie A Midweek Fixture List

Serie A Midweek Fixture List

Whilst the majority of leagues in Europe have nothing for us until the weekend, the Italian Top Flight have a full fixture list for us to get our teeth stuck in to. Bet Advisor Tipster Patricio Velazco has already told us that he will have at least three tips for this midweek set of fixtures. There are plenty of games, starting with Sassuolo v Empoli this evening. Tomorrow is the main day though, with 8 fixtures, including a few juicy games:

Inter Milan v Sampdoria

Unbeaten on the road so far this season, Sampdoria make the relatively short trip from Genoa to Milan. Inter are four points behind their opponents, so will treat this game as a perfect opportunity to close the gap and push themselves up the table, nearer to the European places. Sampdoria haven’t lost home or away this season in their opening four games, and have managed 5 clean sheets – an impressive feat. Inter have looked good for the most part, but two successive defeats by 3 goals against Fiorentina (3-0) and Cagliari (1-4) suggest they aren’t where they would like to be. This game could go either way, but understandably, Inter remain favourites having won 4 and drawn one of their last 5 encounters

Atalanta v Napoli

Napoli smashed 6 past Verona at the weekend, so will be brimming with confidence as they face an Atalanta side with one win in 6. Saying this, however, Atalanta have won their last two games here against Napoli, so this is all but a foregone conclusion. It should be a very interesting game, and with Higuain scoring a 22 minute hat-trick last weekend, the Atalanta defence will need to work hard to get their third clean sheet in 3 home games against Napoli.

Roma v Cesena

Roma will be glad they kept a clean sheet at the weekend against Sampdoria after their 7-1 home defeat against Bayern Munich last week. That was only the second game in the league they haven’t taken maximum points from, with the 3-2 defeat at Juventus the other. 6 wins from 8 is solid, and Cesena languishing near the bottom of the table would suggest a home win again here. They’ve played each other 4 times in Serie A, Rome winning three, and one 0-0 draw. Last time out, Roma narrowly won 3-2 having gone 1-0 down. This could be a formality, but you can never know just how a team will react after a 7-1 defeat – is it out of their system?

The final game of the midweek fixtures is Lazio’s trip to Hellas Verona on Thursday. Be sure to check out our tipsters who will certainly be providing tips for some of these games.
