Bet Advisors Guide to Betting – EPL Transfer Window Special

With less than two weeks to go until the January transfer window closes, the Premier League’s top clubs are still looking for additions to their squads. Once again, we take a look at some of the deal’s that may (or may not) go ahead this month.

ALEXANDRE PATO – CORINTHIANS

The former Milan striker is on the verge of leaving his homeland once again, but this time his destination is the Premier League. Reports today suggest that the player is on the verge of a move to Chelsea and the betting exchanges tend to concur with this, making him odds-on to arrive at Stamford Bridge. Three more London sides; Arsenal, West Ham United and Spurs have all been linked, but it seems a formality now that his future lies with the defending champions.

*Current Odds:

Chelsea 1.17

West Ham United 9.00

Arsenal 26.00

Spurs 26.00

EZEQUIEL LAVEZZI – PSG

Chelsea are also strongly linked with a move for PSG’s Argentine midfielder Ezequiel Lavezzi, but they face strong competition from Inter Milan. The player himself has stated that he would like to go back to Serie A having formerly represented Napoli, but the West London club are confident they can hijack any potential deal to bring him to the Premier League. Manchester United are also an outside bet to get his signature but just like Pato, it seems Stamford Bridge could be his final resting place.

*Current Odds:

Chelsea 1.50

Inter Milan 5.00

Manchester United 9.00

Juventus 26.00

SHANE LONG – SOUTHAMPTON

The Saints striker could follow in the footsteps of former teammate Adam Lallana by making a move to Liverpool. The Reds are the favourites on the best football betting sites to add the 28-year-old Irishman to their line-up, with Spurs and Newcastle United also monitoring the situation. Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has been told he will have to find £12 million to bring the player to Anfield, that’s if his current employers decide that he is for sale. With current frontman Christian Benteke struggling for form, the German tactician is desperate for reinforcements; Long may just be the answer to his problems.

*Current Odds:

Liverpool 4.00

Spurs 11.00

Newcastle United 17.00

West Bromwich Albion 26.00

SAIDO BERAHINO – WEST BROMWICH ALBION

Is this the month when West Brom striker Saido Berahino finally leaves the Hawthorns? Many observers think so and with the player at odds with his current coach Tony Pulis, a change of scenery may be best for all concerned. The 22-year-old striker is admired by many clubs in England’s top-flight, but its Newcastle United that seem to have their noses in front in the quest to grab his signature. Chelsea have also been linked but with the imminent arrival of Pato, this may rule them out of the running. There could be a North London challenge for his services however, with Spurs also keen admirers of the man from Burundi.

*Current Odds:

Newcastle United 2.50

Chelsea 3.00

Spurs 4.00

Liverpool 26.00

EDINSON CAVANI – PSG

Another player unsettled in the French capital is Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani. Just like his current teammate Lavezzi, his immediate future could lie in England with Manchester United long-time admirers. Coach Louis van Gaal has stated publically that he would like to bring in a frontman during this window and Cavani’s availability may have come at just the right time. As with Lavezzi, Cavani has also spent time in Serie A at Napoli, but a return to the peninsula for him looks out of the question. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have also been linked but Old Trafford remains the favourite destination point for the 28-year-old.

*Current Odds:

Manchester United 6.50

Arsenal 21.00

Chelsea 34.00

Manchester City 34.00
